Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria is set to kick off his Wimbledon Open campaign against Dusan Lajovic of Serbia in the first round of the men’s singles tournament at All-England Club. Dimitrov will defend 180 points in the ATP world rankings after reaching the fourth round of the Wimbledon Open last year. The 33-year-old veteran achieved a milestone in the Grand Slam stage this year after reaching the quarterfinals of the 2024 French Open in May. Dimitrov played in the Cinch Championships in London two weeks ago, but his campaign was short-lived after bowing to Sabastian Korda in a three-set thriller 6-4 3-6 7-5 in the second round. Lajovic has never played a single grass-court match since losing to Taylor Fritz in the second round of the 2024 French Open 6-3 3-6 6-3 6-4. In his career, the Serbian hasn’t yet reached the round of 32 of the Wimbledon Open.
