The undeniably talented, yet often frustrating Alexander Bublik does come into this French Open off the back of tasting defeat last time out, but he can be forgiven for losing to up-and-comer Mpetshi Perricard in that semi-final in Lyon, where the Kazakh player actually played very well. Such form tells us that the world number 17 has his game in good shape right now and if that continue here, then he'll make life very tough for Barrere, a player who has often got the better of. Barrere has also played some good tennis of late, while he has the benefit of playing in his home country here, but he doesn't have a great record against Bublik, losing in straight sets in each of the last two renewals of this fixture.
