If we're being totally honest here, it's incredibly difficult to see the Egyptians making the headway required to get a positive result. The French have looked very strong. Not only do they have some serious forward threats, players who are far from youngsters and who have lots of experience, but they've been very, very steady, keeping teams quite. This bodes well ahead of a match against an Egyptian team that have scored few goals.
Sure, we saw this Egyptians upset the Spanish during the final group game, but they played against a Spain team that was already through, while they also enjoyed playing on the break in that game. Thierry Henry's hosts haven't been so quick to bomb forward and leave themselves open, opting for a more solid, measured approach instead, so really it's hard to see the Egyptians making much headway. Realistically, we can expect the home side to keep things nice and steady before making their final-third quality pay, much as they have done in each of their games so far.
