Notre Dame saw its time as the No. 1 team in the country come to a premature end following their first conference loss, a 104-95 2OT defeat at the hands of No. 13 North Carolina State. Hannah Hidalgo had another solid night from the floor with 26 points and was one of three Notre Dame players to score 20+ points. But they just couldn’t contain an NC State attack led by Zoe Brooks with 33 points that saw all five starters score in double-digits. As for the Seminoles, Florida State will take a three-game winning streak into tonight’s contest after beating Georgia Tech 73-70 in their last game. With the No. 2 offense in the country (89.4 points per game ), led by Ta’Niya Latson (26.2 points per game), the Notre Dame defense will have its work cut out for it, slowing the Seminoles down.
