Felix Auger-Aliassime will try to clinch his third final appearance this year on Thursday when he plays Andrey Rublev in the semifinal of the 2025 Qatar Open. Aliassime improved his record to 12-3 after Daniil Medvedev decided to retire while the Canadian was up 6-3. The result gave Aliassime his second career win over the former world’s No.1 in eight head-to-head matches. More importantly, Aliassime kept his bid for a third ATP title alive after winning in Montpellier and Adelaide earlier this year. Rublev appears to have regained her competitive form. This came after handing Alex De Minaur his third loss of the season 6-1 3-6 7-6(8) in an action-packed, high-drama quarterfinal clash. Rublev overwhelmed De Minaur in the first set before coming through with clutch points in the third-set tiebreaker to outgun his Aussie foe and secure his path to a second semis stint this year.
