Jessica Pegula of the United States gears up for a tough fourth-round clash with fellow WTA veteran Elina Svitolina of Ukraine at the 2025 Indian Wells Open on Tuesday. Pegula pushed her winning streak to seven matches after her 6-2 6-1 domination over Xinyu Wang of China. Pegula played aggressive tennis from start to finish, bombarding her Chinese foe with 29 points off her first serves while converting five breakpoints. Pegula is gunning for her fourth WTA 1000 title and first since ruling the Canadian Open in August 2024 Elina Svitolina has proved once again that age is just a number. The 30-year-old Ukrainian reached the third round of the 2025 Indian Wells Open after eliminating a second American foe, Daniel Rose Collins 6-2 6-4 on Saturday. Despite committing 8 double faults, Svitolina’s serves did most of the damage as Collins could only convert one service breaks. The win gives Svitolina a chance to barge into the quarterfinal of the Indian Wells Open for the first time since her semifinal finish in 2019.
