Jasmine Paolini of Italy will attempt to barge into the round of 16 of the Australian Open on Saturday when she goes head-to-head with Elina Svitolina of Ukraine in the third round. Paolini delivered another dominant win over Renata Zarazua of Mexico 6-2 6-3 to reach the round of 32 of the Australian Open for the second time in her career. The No.4 seed Italian stamped her class from the get-go, never letting Zarazua gain the confidence to mount an upset bid. Paolini landed 67 percent of her first serves in which she collected 26 points. She also broke Zarazua six times and scored 36 return points. Similar to Paolini, Svitolina has had a smooth sailing through the first two round of the competition. The Ukrainian topped Sorana Cirstea of Romania 6-4 6-4 before pummeling Caroline Dolehide of the United States 6-1 6-4 in the next round. Svitolina, the No.28 seed, is a two-time Australian Open quarterfinalist.
