They showed remarkable resilience in that matchup after bouncing back from a goal down to restore parity in the first half before grabbing the winner in the 70th minute. They were the better side throughout the night, recording 53% ball possession and 83% pass completion rate. They also had 17 shots, five of which hit the target. That’s better than the home side, who had 12 shots with only three hitting the target. Eintracht Frankfurt’s coach, Dino Toppmoller, could make one or two changes to the side that won in the Netherlands last week. Hugo Etikite may have to give way for experienced striker Michy Batshuayi to lead the line on Thursday.
