The Vancouver Canucks (57-27-10 SU, 51-43 ATS) face off with the Edmonton Oilers (56-30-7 SU, 41-52 ATS) in Game 7 after failing to stick with Edmonton for the first time all season. Vancouver has not trailed in the series and had won seven of nine meetings in 2023-24 before fading in Game 6 and sending the series back to British Columbia.
For just the second time in the series, a team actually held the lead after scoring the first goal. More importantly for the Oilers, they spread their scoring out much better in Game 6 than they had in previous games. Connor McDavid notched three assists and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins registered a goal and two assists in forcing Game 7. More importantly for Edmonton, the Oilers were better at 5-on-5 hockey for the first time in the series.
