The Champions League play-offs kick off this week! There are some very exciting fixtures in store, not least the meeting between Dynamo Kiev and RB Salzburg. After finishing 2nd in the last Ukrainian championship, Dynamo Kiev entered the competition in the 2nd round of C1 qualifying. And they impressed to reach the play-offs. After easily overcoming Partizan Belgrade (aggregate score: 9-2), the Ukrainian club managed to topple Rangers FC (aggregate score: 3-1). Oleksandr Shovkovsky's team also won their first 2 league games. Now, however, it's a different story.

RB Salzburg stand in their way. The first leg takes place this Wednesday at 3:00 pm EST, at the Arena Lublin in Poland. The Austrian club finished 2nd in their domestic league. They made their debut in the 3rd round of C1 qualifying, beating FC Twente 5-4 on aggregate. To top it all off, they made an excellent start to their OFB Cup campaign, winning their first 3 league matches. Pepijn Lijnders' men have no intention of taking their foot off the pedal this Wednesday. They will be doing their utmost to put themselves in the best possible frame of mind ahead of the second leg.
