After getting the job done with minimum fuss during the first round, making a pleasing return to a surface that she clearly enjoys playing on, winning 6-1, 6-3, Donna Vekic looks well placed to advance to the next round courtesy of another straight-set win. Greet Minnen also won in straight sets during the first round, but she faced a lesser player, while all of his positive form has been against opponents who do not match up to Vekic's level, and that's a worry. When Minnen last faced a top-50 player on grass, she was blown away and I'd say we could see something similar here. We saw last season when Vekic reached a final on grass in Berlin, that she's a strong competitor on this surface and I really won't be surprised if she goes deep into this tournament. For me, everything points towards the Croat winning comfortably, so much so that early odds of +115 look a little generous. Our Prediction: Donna Vekic to Win 2-0.
