On Tuesday, the Detroit Tigers and Seattle Mariners duke it out in Game 2 of their three-game series at T-Mobile Park.
The Tigers finally got into the winner’s circle after pulling off a 9-6 win over the Mariners in Game 1. Powered by a homer from Riley Greene and a two-run double from Javier Baez, the Tigers stormed to a 6-0 lead in the first inning, and they never looked back. Reserve pitcher Tyler Holton took the win as starter Jackson Jobe floundered with three earned runs in four innings.
The Mariners dropped to 2-3 this season following the loss to the Tigers. Seattle scored six runs in the match, with Randy Arozarena, Cal Raleigh, and Luke Raley delivering a homer each. The Mariners are batting .175 (27th in the MLB) through five games.
