The Detroit Tigers (40-48 SU, 39-49 ATS) look to try to get back on track by winning their series with the Cincinnati Reds (42-46 SU, 48-40 ATS). The Tigers have failed to win seven of their past eight series, only beating the White Sox in that stretch. Detroit hasn't been swept in most of these series, as they won a game in all but the series against Atlanta, but the Tigers also haven't managed to play with any consistency.
The Tigers' biggest issue is their pitching and defense. Over their past nine games, Detroit has allowed at least four runs on eight occasions. Tarik Skubal and Casey Mize have mostly been reliable, but the bullpen hasn't gotten the job done. And with the Tigers set to throw a bullpen game, Detroit's consistency issues will likely pop up again.

With a sustained wind heading toward the left field bleachers, this is a chance for both teams to take advantage. Neither are great power hitting teams, but Detroit's pitching hasn't shown much in terms of run prevention. Hunter Greene has been inconsistent, but he pitches much better on the road than he does in hitter-friendly Cincinnati.
Greene's past two starts at Great American Ball Park have seen him give up 10 runs, compared to the past two sharp performances he gave away from home. Greene's biggest problem at home is the same reason many pitchers struggle in Cincinnati: it's tough for him to keep the ball in the park.
