The Wings have played far too many offense-heavy games this season, only managing to slow down Nashville. In fact, Detroit hasn’t won a game yet against an Eastern Conference team because outside of Nashville, the Wings have allowed 15 goals in three games.
Things might not get better on Long Island, as the Islanders are used to putting home goals against the Wings. In their past four meetings with Detroit, New York has lit the lamp 15 times, picking up five points in those games. The Isles’ main thing to do has been to just put anything on the scoresheet: when they score, the Isles have five points in three games.
