Toluca and the Chicago Fire are on deck for a USA vs Mexico matchup in The Leagues Cup on Thursday night. Scheduled for a date at the soccer-specific SeatGeek Stadium, as opposed to Soldier Field, it will be an intimate atmosphere for Fire fans to support their side in a must-win game. Chicago lost their first group game against Sporting KC 2-1, and now have their backs against the wall. A win, at the very least through penalty kicks, is required of Chicago to keep them in the tournament. Toluca has had the luxury of enjoying the week off, but as a Mexican side in the American-hosted Cup they must play all their games on the road. Toluca have won twice and drawn twice to begin their Apertura campaign undefeated. Those results are particularly impressive considering draws against Cruz Azul and Guadalajara were on the road. If they can keep the traveling magic going, they can clinch a Round of 32 spot on Thursday.
