The Los Angeles Lakers saw their six-game win streak snapped on Thursday after dropping a close contest to the Orlando Magic, 119-118. Anthony Davis scored 39 points on 14-for-22 shooting, and LeBron James tallied 31 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. However, the Lakers could not contain Magic’s rising star Franz Wagner, who exploded for 39 points and drained the 26-foot go-ahead trey with 3.1 seconds left on the clock. The Nuggets, meanwhile, suffered their third loss in four games despite another triple-double performance from the returning Nikola Jokic. The three-time MVP chalked up 33 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists, while Christian Braun and Michael Porter Jr. chipped in with 17 each. Unfortunately, the Nugget's defence was hardly felt by the Mavs, who shot 50.5 per cent from the field.
