Kasatkina will make her sixth final appearance this year and hopefully earn a second title next to the hardware she won in Eastbourne earlier this year. The Russian punched her way to the championship match with a 6-4 ret—victory over Paula Badosa of Spain. After Kasatkina cruised to a 6-4 win, Badosa needed to check her blood pressure before deciding to surrender the match. It marked the second straight tournament where Badosa had to withdraw because of fitness issues.
