After three games of generating nothing on the power play, Colorado ignited in Game 5, cashing in on two of its three opportunities on special teams. In this series, the Avalanche have gone 4-for-5 when they've won the game and 0-for-8 when they've lost the game. Colorado thrived last round in forcing Winnipeg to play its game; the Avs have to do the same against the Stars.
Dallas' penalty kill ranked eighth in the NHL during the regular season, and Colorado's play during Game 1 and Game 5 proved that the Stars' penalty kill can be beaten. It's only a matter of the Avalanche doing it.
