Our Czechia vs Spain Prediction
Despite crashing out early at the US Open, Carlos Alcaraz should have no problem dispatching any singles player from the Czech Republic. The big concern for Spain is Pablo Carreno Busta, who could be in a tougher match against Jakub Mensik. Mensik is coming off a third-round stint at the US Open champion and has a 66.7 percent win rate in hard-court matches this 2024. If Busta falls in his singles match, Spain could be in trouble since Martinez and Granollers would be underdogs to Tomas Machac and Adam Pavlasek, who are more accomplished players in doubles events. Machac won the gold for the Czech Republic in the mixed doubles event at the Paris Olympics and, together with Pavlasek, reached the semis of the men’s doubles event in Paris.
