Meanwhile, Linette has toppled a few solid opponents to reach the quarterfinals of the Wuhan Open. The Pole defeated Liudmila Samsonova in the opening round 6-2 6-2, Lesya Tsurenko 5-2 ret., and Daria Kasatkina 6-2 6-3. In her match against Kasatkina, Linette won 23 points on her first serves and captured five breakpoints that proved to be the difference maker.
