Coco Gauff is one of the very best female players in the business, there's no denying that and the Grand Slam champion will likely have much more success in her career, but there's reason to think that she could struggle here. More importantly, there's reasoon to think that betting on Alexandrova to win represent a slither of value at the early lines. The world number 20 is a very decent player on grass, make no mistake. She played some excellent tennis to beat world number 18 Haddad Maia in straight sets during the first round, a win that should set her up nicely for this. Factor in that she's already had plenty of key grass-court practice this season, whereas Gauff hasn't, and combine it with the fact that Gauff hasn't played competitively in a fortnight, and the odds on an Alexandrova win start to look a little generous.
