Winners of the last edition of the MLS, Columbus Crew show no signs of letting up in the new campaign. Currently in 3rd place in the MLS Eastern Conference, they qualified directly for the round of 16 in the Leagues Cup. And Wilfried Nancy's team left no room for suspense against Sporting Kansas City (4-0). Diego Rossi's team-mates will now face Inter Miami. The match takes place this Wednesday at Lower.com Field in Columbus.
However, Inter Miami still have big ambitions. They are the defending Leagues Cup champions. In fact, Gerardo Martino's men are in a very strong position this season, sitting at the top of the Eastern Conference, 10 points ahead of their next opponents (but 2 games clear). Despite the absence of Lionel Messi, the Floridian franchise has done its job to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition. Thanks in particular to 4 assists from Jordi Alba, Inter Milan managed to see off Toronto FC in the Round of 16 (4-3). They'll be hoping to make their mark again in one of the competition's clashes.
