The Rockies' offense, when it comes to leaving Coors Field, doesn't look worthy of the one led by Helton and Matt Holliday in the 2000s. Now, one of the worst Rockies in recent memory is well on its way to losing 100 games this season.
After being thrashed by the Brewers at altitude in Colorado, they went to Petco Park, where, incredibly, against starters Piveta, Hart, King, and the Padres bullpen, they couldn't get a single run in 27 innings. After that fiasco, they traveled to Los Angeles for a 3-game series against the Dodgers, where they lost the first game 5-3 after a late rally from their bats. They also started Game 2 of the series against the Dodgers losing by 5 runs, so Dave Roberts doesn't see the need to use Yamamoto against the Rockies in Game 3 and believes he can complete the sweep with Bobby Miller.
Miller did not have a good season with the Dodgers in 2024, also costing him his job with the new acquisitions, but the rumors that they were considering giving him more chances are true, and he will return to the mound at Dodgers Stadium on Wednesday after his time in Triple-A.
