The Colorado Rockies make a rare stop in the South Side of Chicago to face off against the White Sox this weekend. Both teams are at the bottom of the heap in the MLB, with neither even reaching the 30-win mark yet. It is always difficult to pinpoint the exact root of Colorado’s issues, especially in the batting department, since they play half their games at mile-high Coors Field. But this year it is safe to say there are concerns about the ballclub across the board. Only 4 runs scored in their last 3 have contributed to a string of losses, but the grass ain't greener in Chicago either. A 1-0 victory against Atlanta in a rescheduled one-off halted a 4-game skid, which still puts them 5 games behind the Rockies in the fight to not be the worst team in the country. Cal Quantrill has a chance to extend that lead at Guaranteed Rate Field against Jonathan Cannon, a 1-2 right-hander with a 6.50 ERA this season.
