The Chicago White Sox (8-28 SU, 16-20 ATS) conclude their series with the Tampa Bay Rays (19-18 SU, 15-22 ATS) looking to avoid the sweep. The Rays seem set on returning the favor after the White Sox swept them in Chicago earlier this season, as they’ve looked much better at Tropicana Field. The White Sox have played poorly on the road all year, winning just three times in 19 tries.
However, Chris Flexen does give Chicago a chance. The White Sox have gotten quality pitching once every five days from the ex-Mariner, who has given up three runs in his past four starts. The White Sox have lost three of them because they can’t hit worth anything, but the one win came against Tampa Bay. Strange as it is, the Pale Hose have the pitching edge here.
