They face the Oakland Athletics (47-67) tonight for game 2 of their 3 game road series with them. They lost game one 5-1 as they could not figure out the puzzle that was JP Sears of the A’s. Sears went 7 innings and held the White Sox to just 1 run on 3 hits. Lawrence Butler hit a pinch-hit homerun and Max Schuemann knocked in 2 RBIs in the win. Tonight, Ross Stripling (2-10, 5.64) will be on the mound for the Athletics and will try to extend the White Sox losing streak by keeping their league worst lineup in check. For the underdogs, the White Sox; Jonathan Cannon (1-5, 4.11) will try to go deep into this one and give Chicago a chance and snapping this extensive losing streak.
