Leading 4-2 in the bottom of the 9th of game one, Drew Smyly allowed a sac fly to tie the game before walking in the game winning run-on Wilmer Flores. For game four, the top pitcher for the Cubs, Shota Imanaga (7-2, 2.96) will be tasked with holding the Giants from getting the sweep. He hopes to turn things around after getting shelled for 10 runs on 11 hits in just 3 innings against the Mets in his last start. This Cubbie team has been brutal when playing on the road. We do not have confidence in them turning things around here in San Fran and the fact that Imanaga has not faced the adversity of a terrible start like he did last outing before, we believe the smart play here is to ride the Giants. If Imanaga can not find his stuff early again, he will be in for a long day. And even if he is to have a decent start, the Cubs bats have not been good enough lately to put them over the top.
