Caroline Dolehide of the United States will lock horns with Varvara Gracheva of France in the second round of the 2025 Astin Open. Dolehide grinded out a 6-2 5-7 6-4 win over Anastasia Zakharova of Russia on Wednesday. The American collected 39 points on her first serves and captured five break points to outlast Zakharova. The win raised Dolehide’s record to 3-3 this 2025 WTA season. Gracheva blasted No.3 seed Peyton Stearns 6-2 6-3 in the first round. The Frenchwoman held all except one serve while scoring 21 points on her first serves. Gracheva also converted 5 of 11 breakpoint chances, allowing her to create the separation she needed to pull away from Stearns. Gracheva improved her 2025 WTA season record to 3-4.
