Carlos Alcaraz of Spain will march into his third-round match against Wu Yibing of China targeting his 11th consecutive victory. Days after bagging the China Open, Alcaraz continues his fine play at the Shanghai Masters, beating Juncheng Shang 6-2, 6-2 in the second round on Saturday. The Spaniard overpowered his Chinese foe on all fronts, winning 79 percent of his first serves and collecting 27 return points. Alcaraz is aiming to win his second title in the Asian leg of the ATP Tour and fifth overall this year. Meanwhile, 560th-ranked Wu pulled off two impressive wins against legit ATP campaigners. The Chinese opened his Shanghai Masters run with a 6-3, 6-3 win over ATP Top-100 player Summit Nagal of China. He followed it up with a 6-2, 6-1 win over No.25 seed Nicolas Jarry of Chile. Wu played superb tennis in his match against Jarry, earning 29 points on his first serves and converting four breakpoints to complete the upset win.
