The ATP action in Santiago, Chile continues on Thursday, when there's a match between Camilo Igo Carabelli and Thiago Monteiro. It's Argentina vs Brazil as these two clash, and it's not unusual for the pair to meet on South American clay courts, which is something that they've done three times since 2023, with Ugo Carabelli coming out on top (in straight sets) when they last met back in 2024.

Argentine Camilo Ugo Carabelli has been in strong form of late, with the 25-year-old climbing the rankings to reach a career high position of 63. He's won four of his last five matches, reaching the semi final in Rio last week. After that very promising effort, he'll be looking to go deep into this tournament, and having beaten the higher-ranked Nicolas Jarry during the first round, he could easily do that. 

In contrast, Thiago Monteiro hasn't been at his best for a while, which is why he's dropped from a career-high ranking of 61 to 108. In his home nation of Brazil, he could only reach the second round last week, though he did deliver an improved performance to beat the lower-ranked of the Cerundolo brothers and will now be looking for further improvement.
