In what is a more common occurance than you may think, Brighton and Chelsea meet for the second time in just a week on Friday, during the late/morning early afternoon for those watching in the US. Having faced each other in the FA Cup last Saturday, the pair now clash in the Premier League.

For the Blues, it's about revenge having lost that FA Cup game (2-1), but it's also about improving on some rather weak recent efforts. Enzo Maresca's men have lost two of their last three in all competitions, while they've been inconsistent for a while now, not winning back-to-back games since the middle of December, and as such, they've dropped to fourth in the table, a rather chunky 13 points behind league leaders Liverpool.

As for the Seagulls, Saturday's win against Chelsea prevented a run of three games without a win, while it was also a timely bounce-back following that humiliating 7-0 defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forest. It's now time for Fabian Hurzeler's men to get back to winning ways in the league. If they do win, they'll be within striking distance of the all important top six.
