Two teams struggling to get off to a good start in English football will meet when Brentford and West Ham meet at London's Community Stadium on Saturday.

Both sides were beaten in the EFL Cup by teams from the Big 6 during the week. West Ham have not particularly looked their best defensively. They allowed Liverpool to score five goals during the week and beat Chelsea 0-3 at home in their last Premier League game. In fact, the Hammers have earned all their Premier League points away from home and are unbeaten in the Premier League on that basis in two games.

West Ham spent almost £120m on the transfer market trying to build a more competitive team, but it seems Lopetegui has not found a way to make the new signings work as he hoped.

It's the right time for West Ham to react, as after facing Chelsea and Liverpool, the schedule has scheduled games against Brentford and newly promoted Ipswich Town, they will want to get at least 4 points.

Even so, beating the Bees at home seems a difficult task, they have been extremely effective there, they are undefeated at their stadium so far, winning all the games they have played there and having scored at least 2 or more goals in each game. The potential of this team for this season seems to be great, since their three losses were all against teams from the Big 6 and they could have scored goals against two of them.
