The semi-finals of the 2024 Olympic women's volleyball tournament get underway! Brazil have been unstoppable since the start of the competition. They have yet to drop a set en route. In Group B, the Brazilian team won 3 sets against Kenya, Japan and Poland. Enough to finish comfortably at the top of their group. And Brazil didn't change its good habits in the quarter-finals. Facing the Dominican Republic, they won again in 3 sets to book their place in the last four. Now it's on to the United States. The match will take place this Thursday at 4pm, at South Paris Arena 6.

The USA found themselves in a far from straightforward Group A. They lost their opening match to China in 5 sets. The US team bounced back on the following day, beating Serbia in 5 sets. For their final group match, the USA were able to unwind against France, without dropping a single set. They took 2nd place in their group. They then faced Poland in the quarter-finals. And the USA impressed with a 3-0 win over the Poles. They go into their semi-final with great confidence. However, it won't be easy against one of the most impressive teams in the early stages of the competition.
