For some reason, Brandon Nakashima is currently the early favourite ahead of this clash, but I can't quite agree with that. For starters, Jordan Thompson beat Nakashima at Wimbledon last season, and although it wasn't the most clear-cut win, we shouldn't ignore that. Nor should we ignore the fact that the Aussie has shown some strong grass-court form of late, beating better players than Nakashima, including Taylor Fritz and Holger Rune. Such wins are also not to be ignored. Nakashima has struggled against higher-ranked players with a grass-court pedigree of late, which also adds to the Australian's appeal at the early odds. Ultimately, Thompson looks a little generously priced at early BetMGM odds and is thus worth betting to come out on top. Our Prediction: Jordan Thompson to Win.
