Texas Rangers and Boston Red Sox will play their season opener on Thursday night at the Globe Life Field. The Rangers will be looking to recover from a disappointing 2024 season after beefing up their ranks with new talents like Jake Burger and Jock Pederson. They'll also get back Josh Young, Wyatt Langford, and Adolis Garcia from injuries. And yes, they have several prospects who may look to make noise in the season. They'll undoubtedly have an intimidating lineup.
Boston Red Sox, in the meantime, will look to get back among the league's elite teams after three postseason droughts. They'll enter this season full of confidence after adding three names with championship experience. Walker Buehler, Alex Bregman, and Aroldis Chapman joined via free agency. However, their biggest acquisition was Garrett Crochet, who joined from White Sox in a blockbuster deal. This could be their season if everyone stays healthy.
