The Boston Red Sox will face the White Sox in Game Two of a three-game series today at Rate Field in Chicago, IL. Gametime is scheduled for 4:10 p.m. EST. Richard Fitts is expected to take the mound for Boston and Martin Perez for the White Sox.

Sean Newcomb didn’t necessarily have a bad start for the Red Sox in Friday’s game, giving up six hits and two earned runs over four innings. But with a pair of walks and errors working against him, he was credited with six runs (four unearned). On the day, the Red Sox had five errors, bringing their MLB-leading total to 19 this season. Davis Martin gave the White Sox six solid innings, giving up six hits and one earned run while walking one and striking out six. It didn’t hurt that he got 12 hits and 11 runs in support from the Chicago lineup.

Richard Fitts will try to get the Red Sox back on the right side of the scoreboard when he takes the mound tonight. He’s 0-2 on the season in two starts, but he’s been pretty consistent, giving up six hits and three earned runs while striking out four in each start. Martin Perez will take the mound for the White Sox; he’s 1-0 in two starts with more walks (five) than hits allowed (four), 13 strikeouts, and one earned run in 12 1/3 innings.
