Two teams that lost by a goal difference, Bochum and Mönchengladbach, are facing each other.

Mönchengladbach did not have an easy start either as they had to host the current champion Bayer Leverkusen, due to an error in committing a penalty in the last minute they would end up losing 2-3 when they had tied the game at two goals before after they started losing 0-2 after 38 minutes.
