Bermuda face a monumental task in their Gold Cup qualifier, as they take on a Honduras side that thrashed them 6-1 in a World Cup qualifier last year. Since that result, Bermuda have won four of their six matches, however those four successes all came against very weak opposition, such as Dominica and Antigua. It is fair to say that, November's 6-1 defeat in the Dominican Republic probably acts as a better indicator of where Michael Findley's side are right now.
As for Honduras, they have suffered defeats in their last two matches, including a 2-1 friendly loss to Guatemala last week. They also lost 4-2 over two legs in their CONCACAF Nations League quarter final against Mexico, but overall their results over the last year have been far more impressive than Bermuda's and they come into this game as huge favorites to progress.
