The sixth and final Bundesliga game kicking off on Saturday takes place at Allianz Arena and it's the big one. Bayern and Dortmund will clash in what is know as Der Klassiker. For the second time this season, having previously tied 1-1 at Signal Iduna Park, these two titans of German soccer will come together.
Somewhat strangely, for both, the timing of this fixture could have been better. Both the hosts and the visitors lost in the UEFA Champions League during the week, meaning that both teams have deficits to try and overturn this week, which could be the priority for both.
In a Bundesliga sense, neither team has a great deal to play for. Of course, the Bayern boys will want to secure the title, but even if they lose this, they look highly likely to be crowned champions, such is the strength of their current position at the top.

In terms of recent form, the hosts are in a better place. Sure, they lost to Inter Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday evening, but their defeat was a narrow one, which means that they are far from out of that tie. Domestically, they've been performing quite well, winning each of their last two, beating St. Pauli at home, before getting the better or Augsburg on the road.
Dortmund are reeling from a disappointing UCL QF.
For the visitors, momentum had been building ahead of Wednesday's trip to Spain, where they faced Barcelona. They'd recorded high-scoring wins against both Mainz and Freiburg, but such efforts could act as a springboard for continental success, with Niko Kovac's men slumping to a four-goal defeat in Catalonia. Such a result is not exactly what the doctor ordered ahead of Der Klassiker.

Bayern Munich's defensive line has been hit hard as the season draws to a close. Starting with the absence of Neuer in goal, replaced by the young Urbig, Vincent Kompany will also have to cope without central defender Upamecano, Ito and full-back Davies... Absences that are putting a strain on the Bavarian defense, which has been less effective of late.
The Belgian coach will also have to do without the services of Musiala, Pavlovic and Coman, but will be able to call on his star striker Harry Kane (23 goals, 8 assists), as well as Olise (8 goals, 12 assists), Sané (9 goals, 4 assists) and Gnabry (5 goals, 3 assists).
With absentees in defense and midfield, Bayern Munich have looked less solid defensively in recent weeks.
Opposite them, Borussia Dortmund travel to the Allianz Arena with 2 major absentees: midfielder Sabitzer and central defender Schlotterbeck... Otherwise, Niko Kovac will have all his usual squad at his disposal, starting with Guirassy (15 goals, 2 assists), Gittens (8 goals, 3 assists), Adeyemi (4 goals, 4 assists) and Beier (7 goals, 7 assists) to liven up the attacking sector.
