The UEFA Champions League will be back on our screens on Tuesday, with four games for bettors and fans to enjoy. One of the fixtures takes place in Spain, where Barcelona and Benfica will play for the second time in a week.
As far as the hosts were concerned, it was very much job done last week, especially after young defender Pau Cubarsi got himself sent off early in the game. The Catalonians stuck to their task, though, defending well and riding their luck at times too, before pouncing midway throuhg the second half to sneak the aggregate lead through a well taken Raphinha goal. Now back in front of a home crowd, the Hansi Flick's men will be looking to finish the job.
Having lost the first leg at home, the Portuguese visitors will be looking to recover, which let's face it, won't be easy. However, the margin of their defeat was narrow, while it's not as if they didn't play well. Unfortunately, they had the luxury of facing ten men for much of the contest and still couldn't get the breakthrough, which is a little worrying.

Barcelona - Benfica Lisbon: Form Analysis
Tuesday's hosts extended their unbeaten run last week, which means that Hansi Flick's men have now lost none of their last 16 games in all competitions. An impressive run indeed. They've won each of their last two, tying only one of their last eight games.
The form picture isn't quite as pretty for the visitors, who obviously lost the first leg of this tie, though they too have made a habit of avoiding defeat in general, losing none of their last six domestic games. Prior to that defeat in the first leg, the men coached by Bruno Lage had gone eight games undefeated in all competitions.

Barcelona & Benfica Lisbon Squad Analysis
The visitors will continue to be without the services of Alexander Bah here, while Angel Di Maria is also out. Sidelined thanks to suspension will be Alvarao Carreras, who picked up a yellow cards against Barcelona last week. Otherwise, we should see a similar team that took to the field last week.
The hosts will continue be without Marc ter Stegen, while Andreas Christensen remains out too.
On the subject of suspension, Pau Cubarsi, who was sent off during the first leg, is also banned. The hosts will continue be without Marc ter Stegen, while Andreas Christensen remains out too. Having had no game at the weekend, the hosts should be fresh and can field a strong side here.

Our Barcelona vs Benfica Lisbon Prediction
Let's face it, the hosts will leave space in behind at home, so we should not write Benfica off offensively in this game. Sure, they didn't score last week, but they created plenty, while key player Kerem Akturkoglu looked very threatening. He can definitely have a say on the break in this game, and given his recent efforts, odds of +140 for him to shoot on target at least once look quite generous. Our Barcelona vs Benfica Pick: Kerem Akturkoglu Over 0.5 Shots on Target.
