Barbora Krejcikova came into Wimbledon having only played four matches on grass this season, two of which she won, so she was far from hotly fancied to go all the way, especially as she hadn't exactly been in decent form in general, losing each of her last five clay-court matches before switching to grass, but it's absolutely fair to say that the player who is currently ranked 32 in the world (not for long) has enjoyed his time playing at the home of grass-court tennis. After all, she's no stranger to playing well on grass, which is arguably her preferred surface.
As for Paolini, well, her performances at this tournament are arguably more surprising, despite her current world ranking of 7th. Of course, we all knew that Paolini was enjoying a promising season in general, as she reached the French Open final, but before this tournament, she'd shown very little preference for this surface, having previously lost many more matches on grass than she 'd won. However, she's now proven, by beating some very good opponents, that she can deliver something near her best on grass.

This very much is a tough match to call, and to be honest, I wouldn't want to call it. Krejcikova, as the most experienced Wimbledon campaigner in general, is the current favourite, but she is by no means a solid favourite. You could argue that the pair should be ever so slightly closer in the pre-match betting than they are right now, potentially making Paolini a very small value bet in that sense, but I'd argue that the value lies with betting on 'Total Games' here.
Since we've had a match between two players who've shown similar qualities on grass at Wimbledon, it's hard to see this being a clear-cut, easy win for either player. All the indicators point towards a tough battling unfolding on center court, so don't be surprised to see plenty of games taking place here. More than 21 games, and way more at that, were needed, and I can only see something similar happening here, so much so that early odds of -115 look very user friendly. Our Prediction: Over 21.5 Games.
