Just one point separates Barca and Atletico at the top of the table, and with champions Real Madrid sandwiched between them, the title race looks set to go down to the wire. The two teams last met just three weeks ago, in an epic Copa Del Rey semi final first leg that ended in an incredible 4-4 draw.
Since that 4-4 draw, Barca have won three consecutive games, including two victories over Benfica en route to the quarter finals of the Champions League. Meanwhile, Atletico were agonizingly eliminated from the competition on penalties, after a 2-2 draw with rivals Real. That result capped a terrible week for Diego Simeone's men, after their weekend defeat to Getafe saw them drop from first to third in the La Liga standings.
