The Orlando Magic will gun for their third win in four games as they play host to the Atlanta Hawks on Monday at Kia Center. Franz Wagner scored 33 points, Anthony Black had 20 and Paolo Bachero added 17 to help the Magic pip the San Antonio Spurs, 112-111. Trailing the Spurs, 109-102, with 3:36 left, the Magic put together a 10-3 run punctuated by Bachero’s 15-foot go-ahead jumper with 25 seconds remaining to grind out a tough win over the visiting Spurs.
The win moved Orlando two games below .500 at 26-28. Meanwhile, the Hawks won 3 of their last four games, including a 125-111 win over the Washington Wizards.
Despite overhauling their roster at the trade deadline, Atlanta still found ways to stay competitive even against teams in the East. Against Washington, Trae Young put up 35 points and 14 assists while 2024 No.1 overall pick Zaccharie Risacher added 18 points in a night where the Hawks knocked 18 three-pointers.
