The New York Knicks will host the Atlanta Hawks at Madison Square Garden today in an early afternoon game. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET, and the home team, the Knicks, opened as 6.5-point favorites to win. This game will be the third time the two teams have played this season; Atlanta won both previous matchups, 121-116 and 108-100.
Atlanta enters the game with a hot hand, having won three in a row and four of their last five, including a 119-115 overtime win over the Boston Celtics on Saturday. Trae Young led the way for the Hawks with 28 and 12 assists, followed by Dyson Daniels with 23. New York, however, lost the last time the Knicks played, a 116-99 defeat at the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves. Jalen Brunson led the way with 26 points, followed by OG Anunoby and Cameron Payne with 18.
Josh Hart and Karl-Anthony Towns (who has not played since January 13) are listed as game-time decisions for the Nicks, as are Jalen Johnson and Trae Young for the Hawks.
