Atlanta Hawks vs Charlotte Hornets Prediction & Picks - NBA

The Atlanta Hawks (32-36) visit the Charlotte Hornets (17-50) on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at the Spectrum Center.

The Hawks are 4-2 in their last six games, but they have lost their last two games. Turnovers have hurt the team in those two defeats, with top star Trae Young averaging 6.5 miscues. Rookie Zaccharie Risacher did score at least 15 points in that span, providing a silver lining for the skidding Hawks.

The Hornets are coming off an embarrassing loss as well. The Los Angeles Clippers recently handed them a 123-88 defeat, a game that was virtually over after three quarters. Only LaMelo Ball and Mark Williams scored in double-digits for Charlotte, with the team shooting a paltry 39.4% overall clip from the field.

Recent history doesn't help the Hornets' cause either. They have lost all three matchups with the Hawks this season, averaging only 40.3% FG as a team in those games. Brandon Miller, their third-leading scorer who produced 32 points in his lone game against the Hawks, is sitting out due to a season-ending wrist injury.   

The Hawks, who are focused on a home-court advantage come play-in time, are favored to win and sweep their regular season series against the Hornets.
