The Toronto Blue Jays look for some payback on Tuesday when they take on early CY Young candidate Spencer Schwellenbach and the Atlanta Braves in Game 2 at Roger Center.
The Jays conceded the No.1 spot in the AL East to the New York Yankees after dropping 3 of their last four games. For the second straight game, Toronto allowed more than 5.0 runs as they let up 8 runs in a 4-8 setback to the Braves. Despite their recent hiccups on the mound, Toronto still owns a sturdy 3.64 ERA and a .213 OBA.
The Braves are slowly but surely showing their true caliber after a rough start to this season. Atlanta has gone 3-2 in their last five games, batting 4.5 runs on .244 batting average. Their 4.39 ERA still falls below league average, but at least they are outscoring teams behind a more consistent offense.
