Meanwhile, Krueger punched her ticket into the main draw of the Cincinnati Open after eliminating a couple of Japanese, including former world’s No.1 Noami Osaka 6-3 2-6 6-3. Krueger carried her winning form into the first-round clash with Donna Vekic, stunning Croatia’s No.1 netter 5-7 7-6(4) 6-2. Kruger scored 116 points in the match, 48 of which were scored on her first serves. She also broke Vekic four times and fired nine aces.
