Ostapenko roared into the Stuttgart final with a signature win over Ekaterina Alexandrova 6-4 6-4 in the semifinal. The former French Open champion showcased her might on the red dirt, winning 27 first-serve points and converting 3 of 6 breakpoint chances. Ostapenko had defeated Iga Swiatek 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 to keep his unbeaten record intact after six head-to-head matches with the former world No.1.
