Kansas State scored 24 points during an electrifying second-half rally to beat Tulane, 34-27, and stay unscathed two weeks into the college football season. Quarterback Avery Johnson passed 15-for-23 for 181 yards with two touchdowns while running back DJ Gidden rushed for 114 yards on 19 carries. Kansas State’s defense also showed up during the critical moments of the games as safety Jack Fabris scored a touchdown on a 60-yard fumble return to put his team ahead 34-27 at 8:13 mark of the fourth quarter. Arizona also went 2-0 after decimating New Mexico 61-39 and topping North Arizona 22-10. Arizona quarterback Noah Fifita has now covered 595 yards with five touchdowns, while downfield partner Tetairoa McMillan now has 315 receiving yards on 12 receptions with four touchdowns. Running back Quali Conley has made a good account of himself, running for 202 yards on 27 carries with three touchdowns.
