The Arizona Diamondbacks (79-61) look to complete the sweep of the hosting San Francisco Giants (68-72) this afternoon. Having lost 4 of their last 5 games prior to this series, the Diamondbacks used their offense to take down the Giants in both games to open this series. In game one, Randal Grichuk went 3-5 with 2 homeruns and 3 RBIs in the 8-7 victory. In game two, both Pavin Smith and Eugenio Suarez blasted homers in the 6-4 victory for Arizona. They hope the bats can stay hot today against former ace, Blake Snell (2-3, 3.56) who will be on the mound for the Giants. Snell bounced back nicely after going just 3 innings against the Mariners in which he walked 6 batters and gave up 2 runs on 0 hits against Miami. There, he went 7 innings and struck out 8 while walking just 1 batter and giving up a single run on 4 hits. He will be opposed by Merrill Kelly (4-0, 4.30 who has benefited greatly from the DBacks offense. In his last start, Merrill allowed 6 runs on 10 hits in only 5.1 innings but was able to escape the decision as he left the game tied at 5.

We like the Diamondbacks bats to stay hot here and for Merrill Kelly to allow his fair share of runs as usual.
